Overview
- In the Shinde Concession, a remote and private corner of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, Footsteps Camp allows you to experience the pristine wilderness of the Delta the most traditional way – on foot.
- With only three tents, this charming intimate camp offers a highly authentic but always comfortable safari experience, combined with superb guiding. Guests stay in specially designed Meru-style double-bed tents. The family tent sleeps up to five guests, and each room has an en-suite bathroom with hot water bush showers.
- A guided walking safari in the Okavango’s wilderness is the highlight of a ‘true safari’ experience and provides the opportunity to learn how to track wildlife and understand animal movement, patterns and behavior from experienced guides.
- During your stay other possible activities include game drives on the Shinde Concession and a mokoro ride or fishing trip, although the availability of which vary throughout the year, as these are subject to the water levels.
- This is an ‘off-the-grid’ safari in its truest form: so don’t expect any Wi-Fi here. This place retains all the luxury you really require to slow down and experience an authentic and traditional Botswana safari experience: with everything you need (and nothing you don’t!).
