Having grown up in sleepy, rural Lincolnshire (in the UK), Rebecca became a ‘nomad’ before it was fashionable, but realised she had been born on the wrong continent after her first trip to Tanzania. Eventually the lure of Africa was too much and Rebecca left her marketing and branding career behind to live in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. She has never looked back and thirteen years later, with a wealth of hospitality and tourism experience as a luxury lodge manager, travel writer and travel designer, Rebecca’s love for Africa is matched only by her passion for sharing its magic with her clients. Rebecca is a big fan of epic scenery and the safari life; seeking out hidden gems and new experiences is her favourite past-time.
Ask Rebecca about her favourite African experiences (be warned, it’s a long list!), but up there in her ‘Top 5’, are taking the Rovos Rail to Victoria Falls, and living the cowgirl dream on horseback in the Great Karoo.
