Overview
- Kyambura Gorge Lodge is located on the edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park with sweeping views of the rolling savanna, the distant mountains of the moon, and the sunken Kyambura Gorge.
- An ideal location for tracking the lost chimps in the sunken forest and seeing the wildlife in one of Africa’s most diverse parks. It is centered around the waterway of the Kazinga Channel, and boasts 600 different bird species – the highest compared to any other African park.
- The Kazinga Channel also is known to have the highest density of hippo in Africa!
- The eight unique luxury bandas are each designed with an afro-chic theme with the accent on local artifacts re-imagined in a new context. Each banda has both indoor and outdoor showers, and offers a unique view either across the savanna or the gorge.
- From the lodge, a direct private footpath leads to chimpanzee trekking at Kyambura Gorge. New walking safaris have been created around the lodge to experience the dramatic landscapes of Kyambura Gorge and the Queen Elizabeth savanna, and visit a reclaimed wetland.
