With over 125 square miles to explore, Ongava is one of Namibia’s largest private game reserves, nestled in the mountains and plains surrounding Etosha National Park. From the largest elephant to its relative the small rock hyrax, plus lions, black and white rhinos, giraffe, and black faced impala are at home on the reserve. Ongava offers a great variety of wildlife found in a beautiful landscape setting.

All built from local materials in traditional fashion, Anderssons at Ongava blends tastefully into the surrounding landscape, allowing you to feel at one with nature. The lodge offers nine spacious en-suites with separate toilets plus an indoor and outdoor shower. There’s also a family unit available that offers two identical suites, each room with two three quarter beds and private bathroom and entrance; so perfect when you’re traveling with children.

Activities include a visit to the Ongava Research Centre’s Visitor Centre, wellness treatments, guided nature walks or just simply lounge by the pool or relax on your private deck. The hide allows for unobtrusive game viewing of the camp’s waterhole. Often frequented by plains game including warthog, zebra, giraffe and an array of antelope, the waterhole also attracts larger game such as rhino and sometimes even lions.
